Your child may need tutoring if they often struggle to sound out words, read slowly, avoid books, or have trouble understanding what they’ve read. A reading assessment can give clarity by highlighting their strengths and pinpointing where extra support is needed.
We work with children from kindergarten through grade 8, supporting early readers just starting to learn sounds and letters, as well as older students building fluency, comprehension, and confidence.
We begin with an assessment to understand your child’s strengths and challenges, then create a plan that targets their specific needs. Lessons are tailored with strategies, activities, and reading materials that match their learning style and goals.
All reading tutoring sessions are held on Zoom. This allows us to connect face-to-face, share interactive reading activities, and use digital tools that make learning engaging and effective.
Most children show progress right away with sounding out words and increased confidence. On average, it takes about 12 weeks of consistent tutoring to bring a child up to grade level. However, every child is unique and some may make faster gains while others may need more time and support.
